Coventry Women’s Voices away day 9.30 – 12.30 am – Saturday 11 May, Kahawa Café, 163 New Union Street, Coventry

What should Coventry Women’s Voices be working on in 2013 and beyond? How do we build our organisation?

You may have been an active member of Coventry Women’s Voices since we started, you may have joined our mailing list but never made any events, you may have just joined, or want to know more about us. Whoever you are – we want to hear from you.

Come and take part in our away day discussions to set our strategy for the next few years.

Since our launch in 2010 Coventry Women’s Voices has gone from strength to strength. We have launched two reports on the impact of the spending cuts in women in Coventry and are currently working on a third. We have organised a hustings meeting with Police and Crime Commissioner Candidates and had meetings with the newly elected PCC and his deputy. We have researched a report with Coventry University on street harassment in Coventry. We have lobbied successfully for a ‘nil’ policy for new sex entertainment venues in Coventry and campaigned for women in Coventry to be able to access the Nuneaton SARC. And we have lobbied and campaigned on a number of local issues.

Now we need to take time out to think about where we want to go next. Please join us as we discuss what we should be doing and how we should be doing it. Free coffee and tea! (see

Please contact Mary-Ann on to let us know if you can come, or if you have any questions.

All members, new members and prospective members welcome. Please bring a friend!
