About Us

Coventry Womens Voices is an independent group of women’s organisations, organisations working with women and individuals that have come together to ensure women’s voices are heard when policy is made in Coventry.

Our mission is to “Make Women’s Voices Heard in Coventry”.

Why are we needed?

Women earn less than men, are more likely to work part time, more likely to be carers (for children and adults) and more likely to be poor, particularly in old age.

Women’s different life experiences mean that they have different needs and priorities and perspectives. But most of the people making decisions affecting women are men.

If policy is made without women’s voices being heard then it won’t work for women.

What do we do?

We provide a network for women in Coventry to come together, talk, share ideas and develop best practice.

We provide expert advice and information about the actual and likely effect that policies and programmes will have on women.

We support organisations that want to consult with women in Coventry.
